Nuclear Energy: Ideological Thought Control Faltering Noticeably

Nuclear Energy: Ideological Thought Control Faltering Noticeably

Survey provides further proof that majority favour longer use of nuclear energy

Berlin, 10.03.2008

49 per cent of the population believe that the remaining running times for German nuclear power plants should be extended. A further 44 per cent oppose this. This was shown by a representative survey with TNS Emnid commissioned by the German Atomic Forum which was carried out at the beginning of the month. The result of the survey clearly shows that the climate of public opinion is continuing to stabilise in favour of longer use of nuclear energy and ideological thought control is faltering more and more.

Nuclear energy is inevitable if there is a real desire for climate protection and if a competitive and reliable energy supply is also to be ensured.
