Annual Meeting 2009

The ANNUAL MEETING ON NUCLEAR TECHNOLOGY 2009 will be held by the Deutsches Atomforum e.V. (German Atomic Forum) and the Kerntechnische Gesellschaft e.V. (German Nuclear Society) at the Congress Centre Dresden on May 12 - 14, 2009. dbcm GmbH, Sankt Augustin, is responsible for the organisation.
The programme will comprise three categories of lecture events:
- Plenary sessions with survey talks
- Topical sessions with invited papers
- Technical sessions with papers contributed to the meeting
The programme will focus on German as well as on international aspects and developments of nuclear energy. Special attention will be paid to new build of nuclear powerplants in Europe.
The topical sessions will partly be held in parallel on the following subjects:
- New Build Projects in Europe
- Fuel Elements, Zero Failure - Road to the Target
- Advances in Developing Integrated Management Systems to Optimise Facility Safety and Availbility
- The Future of Nuclear Energy worldwide and in Germany
- Recent Topics
- Fast Reactor Systems: the Closed Fuel Cycle
- Thermohydraulic Experiments for Reactors of the II and III Generation
The programme will be supplemented by a Nuclear Energy Campus. This event is dedicated as briefing for highschool students.
