The Informationskreis KernEnergie (IK) commits itself to keeping the debate about the peaceful utilisation of nuclear power objective by providing facts and, moreover, by showing up perspectives of a reliable energy supply.
In order to ensure a range of competence that is as wide and as many-sided as possible, the IK (which was founded in 1975) today joins representatives from a great variety of institutions and bodies, among them scientists of independent institutions of environment and safety research, experts in the field of engineering and communication as well as representatives of the power supply industry.
The activities of IK are based on the constant readiness to enter into a dialogue with the general public, offer points for orientation, and thereby promote public acceptance of nuclear power.
